https://parenting.onefamily.ie/ provides self-taught e-learning parenting programmes. We may discontinue providing certain or all of the services on all or part of the website at our discretion and without notice to you. We will however, endeavour to let you know of this via our site.

  1. User Obligations

You will use this site appropriately and in accordance with these terms and conditions and all other applicable laws, licences and regulations. In particular, you will not directly or indirectly place on the website anything or do anything as the case may be while using the site in relation to its content that includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights or related rights of any third party or any rights of publicity or privacy.
  • Violates any law, statute or regulation
  • Is defamatory, libellous, unduly disparaging of goods or services, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing
  • Is obscene, pornographic, offensive or menacing or is otherwise contrary to public policy or order
  • Contains any viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancel box or other computer programming routines that damage ( or are intended to damage), interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information (“Offending Content”)
  • Contains pirated software or constitutes an act of software piracy
  • Constitutes unsolicited spamming or causes annoyance, inconvenience, nuisance or anxiety to One Family, its members, promoters, contractors, employees, advisors or agents, or other internet users.
  • Enables any hacking

The User is, and at all times shall be, an end User of the Service, and the User shall not resell or sub-licence in exchange for payment the service or information provided on the website to https://parenting.onefamily.ie/ any third party without the written permission of One Family. The User is responsible for the actions of any person who avails of this service or accesses the information through the User.

The User will comply with all reasonable instructions given by One Family from time to time in connection with the use of the service.

  1. User Indemnity

The User shall indemnify One Family, its members, promoters, contractors, servants, employees, advisors or agents, against any and all losses of whatsoever nature (including, but not limited to, direct and indirect loss, consequential loss, economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill or loss of reputation), liabilities, claims, damages, settlements, awards, costs, expenses and proceedings incurred by One Family, its members, promoters, servants, employees and/or agents in consequence of the user’s use or misuse of this site or the information or the resources contained on or accessible through this site or infringement of intellectual property rights, and/or by reason of any breach of these terms and conditions of use and/or due to the act, error, omission, default or negligence of the User or of any third party who has access to this site via the User’s connection or otherwise howsoever arising.

This service and information is provided without any warranties or guarantees. All implied conditions, terms and warranties that may arise under Statute, custom, usage, in equity, tort, at common law or otherwise, are hereby expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. User confirms that this is fair and reasonable. One Family does not warrant that the supply of this service and information shall be without interruption or deterioration or that reconnection can be achieved within any specific time or period or that any network through which internet connection is achieved will at any time in the future be accessible and compatible with this service, or will continue to operate as it does currently.

One Family has no editorial relationship with any link sites. Accordingly, we make no warranties, representations or guarantees about them, or any products, content or services which may be provided through any link sites. Furthermore, the inclusion of these links is not intended to reflect the importance of, or vouch or warrant, these other sites or endorse any of the views expressed in, or products or services offered by, such sites. For the avoidance of doubt, One Family is not the provider, seller, reseller, disseminator or agent of any of the goods or services offered for sale on any of the sites with links to and from this site and neither does One Family warrant or make any representations, warranties or otherwise in any manner whatsoever about any such goods and services.

  1. Exclusion of Liability

One Family shall not be liable to the User or any third party for any losses of whatsoever nature (including, but not limited to direct and indirect loss, consequential loss, economic loss, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, loss of contracts, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill or loss of reputation), whether based on breach of contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, statute, equity or common law, or howsoever otherwise arising out of or in any way connected with the use, performance or contents of this site or any other site. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information on this or any other internet sites and shall not be liable in any way to you for their use or performance or reliance on same.

For the avoidance of doubt and without prejudice to any other provisions contained in these terms and conditions, One Family disclaims all express or implied representation or warranties regarding the information, services, products, materials, and any other resources available on or accessible through this site, including (without limitation) any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non infringement. All such information, services, products, materials and other resources are made available “as is” and “as available” without any representation or warranty of any kind.

One Family disclaims all responsibility and liability of any description, including without limitation, liability for negligence, incidental or consequential damages and/or loss suffered by any person acting or refraining from action as a result of or in connection with this site, to include any reliance placed by such person on such material, or the viewing or use or performance of this site.

One Family assumes no responsibility for computer systems, hardware, software or programme malfunctions or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for lost, late or otherwise damaged or misdirected information. One Family reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this programme at any time without notice should a virus, bug or other causes beyond the One Family’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper function of this programme.

One Family shall have no responsibility or liability to the User for any errors or interruptions in (or any delay in reinstatement of) the Service, whether arising out of a failure of any telecommunications lines, operated by any telecommunications operator, or hardware/software interface, other connection points of any other network providers equipment or services or of any other network.

  1. Commencement, Term and Termination

One Family may disconnect this service at any time without notice to the user if:

The user is in breach of any terms of this Agreement

The user is suspected of an involvement with fraud or acts which are of a defamatory, offensive, abusive, obscene, menacing, unsuitable or unlawful character in connection with the use of the service; or

One Family is required by the order of any court or regulatory authority to discontinue the provision of this service, or is deemed necessary by One Family to disconnect the service in order to prevent the commission of any offence or the continuance of unlawful activity.

In addition and as One Family’s absolute right, the organisation may terminate this Agreement and/or discontinue this service immediately at any time and without notice at the One Family’s sole discretion.

  1. Amendment

One Family reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any such amendments will be valid immediately once they are posted on the parenting support.ie website. This Agreement cannot be otherwise altered without prior consultation with the One Family.

  1. No Waiver

Failure to act with respect to any breach of any rule whatsoever by you or any other user shall in no way affect our future right to act with respect to future similar breaches.

  1. Governing Law

This Agreement and the resolution of any dispute related to this Agreement or this site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of Ireland, and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts for all matters arising in connection with or in any way related to this Agreement.

Data Protection is the safeguarding of the privacy rights of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data.  The main laws on data protection are the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679) and the Irish Data Protection acts , 1988 to 2018  which confer rights on individuals as well as responsibilities on those persons processing personal data.

Purposes of processing your personal data.

When you apply to use One Family services, you will be asked to provide personal data and information about yourself.   We use the personal data you share with us, so we can communicate with you and provide the appropriate services to you.

 

In addition to the purpose of processing this information so to accurately assess and tailor our services to you the personal data you provide will be retained in aggregate form, for statistical and research purposes. Such statistics and research will assist One Family in developing our services and policies, including the organisation and administration of adult education courses, reporting on service use, reporting to funders and compliance with statutory obligations.

 

When you decide to register with us you provide this information under the lawful basis of GDPR Article 6 1 (a), and if its special category data GDPR Article 9 2 (a), in that you are giving your explicit consent for the data to be processed for these purposes.

 

One Family undertakes to maintain your personal data in secure conditions with appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it from unauthorised access or use.

 

Who will see and use this data:

When you provide this data to us you understand that it may be seen and shared with any of the One Family staff who have a role in supporting you.

We will never share your data with any external organisations not directly related to your support, unless we are obliged to do so by law or if there is an emergency situation that would require us sharing your data to prevent injury to you or another person.

 

Your Rights:

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a right to access the data that One Family holds about you, to have incorrect information about you corrected, have your personal data erased, and to object to the processing of data.

To ensure your privacy and to protect the integrity of your data, One Family will require that we can  verify your identity with photographic ID before releasing, erasing, or correcting your information.
