Unplanned Pregnancy

One Family counselling provides confidential, personal time to talk and be really listened to by a non-judgmental counsellor. The counsellor won’t tell you what to do – she knows that you are the person best qualified to live your life and will support you towards your own solutions. One Family counsellors are qualified and experienced, and supervised and engaged in on-going professional development.

Everyone’s experience of abortion is unique and different, and is personal to them. One Family is aware that discussion and comment about abortion in social media, the newspaper, radio and television has intensified. We are aware that for a woman, or a man or a couple who have had the experience of abortion, the current media focus may be challenging and distressing.

You may want to avail of the opportunity to talk with someone about feelings and thoughts about your personal experience. The abortion may have happened recently or some time ago.  If anyone would like to contact One Family to arrange to meet with one of our professional Counsellors, please contact 01 662 9212  and we will return your call as soon as possible. More information about our Counselling Service is available here.

My Options is a HSE freephone line that provides free and confidential information and counselling to people experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. It provides information and counselling Monday to Friday (9am to 9pm) and Saturdays (10am to 2pm) and provides medical advice 24/7. You can access this service by calling 1800 828 010.
