Best Will in the World Week Monday 22 October

Best Will in the World Week takes place from Monday 22nd – Friday 26th October, organised by MyLegacy, a coalition of over 70 Irish charities, including One Family.

Solicitors across the country will offer will consultations to the general public for a flat fee of €50. Those interested in making or updating an existing will, are also being encouraged to leave a gift to their favourite charity in their will after loved ones have been looked after. From teapots to castles – every legacy makes a difference

One Family is pleased to be part of Legacy Promotion Ireland (LPI) as they launch a national campaign to promote legacy giving in Ireland.  According to recent research carried out by The Community Foundation for Ireland, a member of LPI, 62% of Irish people consider leaving a charitable bequest in their will, but in 2008 only 42.5% of people who passed away had actually made a will and only 12.2% of those left money in their will to a charity.
