Family Support

We provide limited direct support to both parents and children of one-parent families. This support can be requested directly by parents, for themselves or their child, and by professionals who work with one-parent families.

Parent Support Work

We provide parents with individual support so they can parent effectively ensuring positive outcomes for themselves and their children. This includes practical and emotional supports that help parents with the stresses of family life and relationships. This support is provided by trained staff, individually to parents.

Separating Well For Children Program

This is a specific program for parents/children where interparental conflict is extremely challenging or there is a history or domestic violence. Support for parents includes direct, intervention support and case management, with the aim of preventing escalating or entrenched conflict, and safeguarding concerns in the family, and ultimately promote children’s wellbeing.

Parents can refer themselves for this program or professionals can refer one-parent families they think would benefit from the support.

Support for Children

We provide a range of direct interventions to children, including creative therapy. This support is limited and not all requests may be successful. If you would like to request this support, please complete our referral form here:

Counselling

We offer a range of counselling services for those dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, post-abortion counselling and for those with childhood care experiences who are finding parenting challenging. We have also received limited funding to provide counselling services to lone parents with teenage child/children.

Courses

We offer a range of in-person and online parenting courses, including one hour workshops, to support you and your family as you need it. You can search for our parenting courses below.
