One Family is committed to supporting lone parents wishing to return to work and/or education and we are excited about all the new opportunities and courses we have no offer.
We are now recruiting for:
- The New Futures Programme (FETAC Level 4 Career Planning)
- The New Futures Programme (FETAC Level 5 Personal and Professional Development)
- The Options Programme – in conjunction with Ballsbridge College of Further Education we are now offering the opportunity to take additional FETAC level 4 modules as part of One Family Options programme.

The New Futures Programme (FETAC Level 4 Career Planning) will provide
- Personal development skills to enhance confidence and self esteem
- Communication skills and anger management
- In-depth self awareness of personal strengths, interests, values, personality type and learning styles
- Guidance towards best fit career and college course choices
- Decision making and financial planning
- Balancing parenting with work / education
- Comprehensive goal setting and action planning skills to enable progression
- Keyworking support once a fortnight throughout the programme.
- Access to One Family wrap around services (Counselling, Parent Mentoring and Information)
The New Futures Programme (FETAC Level 5 Personal and Professional Development) will provide
- Personal development skills to enhance confidence and self esteem
- Communication skills and anger management
- In-depth self awareness of personal strengths, interests, values, personality type and learning styles
- Guidance towards best fit career and college course choices
- Decision making and financial planning
- Balancing parenting with work / education,
- Comprehensive goal setting and action planning skills to enable progression
- Career clinic: preparation of CV and interview preparation
- Shadowing opportunities in a range of college and/or work place environments
- Key-working support once a fortnight throughout the programme.
The Options Programme will provide
Practical skills for progression into employment, self employment and/or college
- Career tasters in a range of subjects: IT, Business and Social Care
- Experience of Further Education environment
- FETAC Level 4 accreditation in Information Technology, Entrepreneurial Skills and Care Practice
- Learners who have prior learning in this area may have an option to Achieve Level 5 certification.

General Information on One Family Welfare2Work Programmes.
- New Futures, Options and New Futures Plus programmes will begin on 26th September 2011
- Learners will be recruited primarily from lone parents residing in Dublin 1,2,3,4, 7 and 8. There will be a small number of places available to people residing outside these target areas.
- Learners will attend New Futures in One Family, 2 lower Pembroke St on Mondays and Tuesdays 10-1:30
- Learners would attend Options in Ballsbridge College of Further Education (Herbert Street) on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10 – 1
