Counselling

Our counselling service is operated by professional and accredited counsellors. The service is open to pregnant women and expectant fathers, and to men, women, teenagers and adolescents in one-parent families.

We offer hybrid and in-person counselling sessions, Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm. We always try to ensure you are seen as soon as possible. How often you attend, or for how long, will be decided between you and your counsellor.

We have a variety of counselling options available, depending on what you need support with.

Unplanned or crisis pregnancy

An unplanned or crisis pregnancy can be confusing, distressing and lonely. It’s important to take your time, be fully informed and avail of support as you need it. We offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to discuss your options and support you through the process. Our counselling service is operated by professional and accredited counsellors.

Continuing with an unplanned pregnancy

If your decision is to continue with your pregnancy, we offer on-going support throughout your pregnancy to help you to best prepare for all the changes ahead. If you would like to continue the pregnancy and then consider a post-birth adoption, we offer on-going support and further professional referrals to help with this decision and process.

Post-abortion counselling

Whether your abortion was recent or not, we offer counselling support to help you process the experience and any emotions you may be experiencing following an abortion.

Other Counselling Services

Fees

There is no cost for unplanned pregnancy counselling or post-termination counselling support. They are funded by the HSE Sexual Health Programme.

We charge a small fee on a sliding scale for other counselling services, for those who can afford it. Our focus is ensuring financial constraints are not a barrier to anyone who wishes to avail of counselling services.
