Pathways is a free eight week college preparation course for those interested in, or going into, further education in September. This introductory programme is specifically designed for those parenting alone or sharing parenting. Pathways runs for eight weeks every Tuesday through May and June at our premises in Smithfield, Dublin 7.
The Pathways programme provides:
- Practical skills for progression into college
- Preparation for the further education environment
Ongoing Support in Education
If you haven’t completed the Pathways programme we can still support you into any education course of your choice. We offer support with applications, course interviews, and information on financial supports. You will also have access to One Family’s wrap-around supports including one-to-one keyworking, counselling, parenting supports and information resources throughout your time at college.

Where? One Family’s programmes take place in Smithfield, Dublin 7. Education programmes will be based in the college of choice.
When? Pathways 2018 will run for eight weeks every Tuesday from 8th May until 26th June at One Family, 8 Coke Lane, Smithfield, Dublin 7. If you haven’t completed Pathways please get in touch to find out how we can support you.
How to apply? Parents interested in participating in 2018 can contact us directly by emailing Ciara Ryan, New Futures Project Co-ordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling us on 01 662 9212. We also welcome referrals from professionals.
Who can apply? Anyone who is parenting alone or sharing parenting can apply, and One Family will assess their eligibility through a structured needs assessment process.
