New Steps Personal Development Course is a free 6 week, part-time personal development programme specifically designed for those parenting alone or sharing parenting. New Steps can be taken as a stand-alone programme or as an introductory course into our New Futures Employability Programme.

There are no classes during school holidays. Participants may be offered a laptop loan or help with broadband costs if needed.
Who is eligible to participate in New Steps?
The New Steps Personal Development Programme is open to people parenting alone who are in receipt of a social welfare payment and who living in counties Louth, Monaghan, Meath and Cavan.
The New Steps programme is currently supported through funding received under the Employment & Social Innovation Programme (EaSI) 2014-2020, in partnership with the Department of Social Protection.
What are our future plans?
We plan to secure further funding that will allow us to offer New Steps to lone parents nationwide. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for further updates.
