Need a hand with parenting? Our ten week courses start the week of 20 September and only cost E50. Choose from Positive Parenting, Family Communications for parents of Teenagers or Stress Management. We are also running two dad’s afternoon workshops, Managing Challenging Behaviour on 5 October and Understanding Children’s Emotions and Managing Behaviour on 23 November, at E10 each. Passionate about parenting? If so, we’d love you to take part in a discussion group about parental support organisations and how they are branded and marketed. We are looking for people who parent alone, share parenting and parent as part of a two parent family. The discussion will take the form of a focus group from 6.30-8.00pm, Thursday 26 August at One Family, 2 Lower Pembroke St, Dublin 2. We will serve refreshments and all participants will receive a payment of €30 as well as travel expenses.

Introduction

In general One Family supports the submissions to the joint committee made by the Ombudsman for Children and by the Children’s Rights Alliance. One Family is therefore limiting its response to Clause 1 (Article 42(A).1), Clause 2 (Article 42(A) 2.1) and Clause 4 (Article 42(A).4.
