One Family Parenting Courses

One Family is planning to hold the following Parenting Courses over the coming months:

These are six week, group-based parenting programmes for lone parents. The programme focuses largely on parenting for children aged 2-10 years, however it is relevant to all age groups. Workshops For Dads

The following workshops are for dads who parent on their own or who are sharing parenting. These workshops provide dads with an opportunity to explore parenting issues whilst also meeting other dads in a similar situation.

1. Practicing Good Communication Skills to Manage Conflict
30 March 2-4.30 p.m.
2. Talking to your Children about your Family Situation
8 June 2010 2-4.30 p.m.

Social Group

This group allows lone parents to meet other parents in a similar situation to themselves, to form friendships and to take some time out for themselves.

Family Communications

This is a 10 week, group-based programme aimed at parents who have completed Positive Parenting or who have teenage children.

The One Family Childcare Service provides a well-planned stimulating secure and healthy environment, where children can find distinctive areas such as home corner, construction, books and art & crafts. Places are for children of participants involved in courses, counselling and the dropin information service. More
