Office Workers at ComputersOne Family understands the experience of parenting alone and co-parenting. We know that each one-parent family is unique and sometimes face complex challenges when moving into training, education and finding fulfilling employment.
At One Family Futures we have developed a range of programmes which support you in your role as a parent and help you to make the right decisions around your future.
Our courses are for lone parents which include:
- single mothers or fathers
- separated or divorced parents
- other relatives with primary caring responsibility
- widowed parents
- parents separated from their partner by geography
- parents who have part-time or supervised access to their children
- parents who would be parenting alone but who do not currently have access or custody to their children
New Starts
Each family is unique and faces its own unique set of challenges. This programme provides a space where participants can explore their experience of parenting alone, what moving on means to them and access the right supports to take the next steps.
This intensive programme provides a structured environment where participants develop the self-knowledge and skills to explore the choices and opportunities open to them. Participants develop an individualised career action plan and move on to training, education and employment on completeion of the programme.
Computer courses (FETAC accredited)
These FETAC accredited computer training programme provides participants with essential skills for today’s workplace.
Marks & Start Courses and Placements
The Marks and Start programme had been developed with Marks and Spencer and offers training and on-the-job work experience to parents who are ready to return to work.  Participants progress to employment with Marks and Spencer or other employers on completion of this programme.
Guidance sessions
Each participant can avail of confidential individual support to clarify where they are in the process of career choice, identify what to do next and how to go about it.
Worried about childcare?
While attending services younger children may attend our on-site crèche facility where they are cared for by our professional staff in a fun and learning environment
